Structure of the GDETO

The head of the GDETO is responsible to the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs of the HKSAR Government. His designation is Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs, Guangdong. He takes on the role of HKSAR's principal representative on economic and trade matters in Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan. The GDETO is supported by over 30 non-directorate staff to discharge various responsibilities for commercial relations, public relations, investment promotion and immigration services.
